I would just create patterns. Once a pattern was finished, I would play a short jam using pattern mutes.\nBefore long, I had accumulated sixteen patterns. Yesterday, I connected my laptop, hit record, and simply played through ten of them. Before I knew it, an hour had passed.\nOf course, I can hear rough transitions and mistakes here and there. Life did not prepare me for such a turn, and I never imagined that one day I would be seeking answers to the question, \u0026ldquo;what is home?\u0026rdquo;. Now, I find myself between two spaces – the old home, which has already become unfamiliar, and the new one, which is not yet accepted as my own.\nWhile working on this track, I aimed to convey my thoughts and emotions through sounds recorded from the magnets on the refrigerator. Using my smartphone, I recorded the clicking and clacking sounds they make when attached to the surface of the door. Highlighting the most arrhythmic and chaotic snippet of the recording, I processed it through a delay effect, which created a self-sustaining marching techno rhythm. Thus, from chaos emerged a structured rhythm that became the foundation of the composition. The simple and somber melody symbolizes the loss of the former home, while the emergence of order and rhythm from chaos represents establishing a life in the new place.
